Magic Pennies and Holy Rivers

The Magic Penny* is a children’s song,
today’s earworm, it raises its head
during this morning's slow meditation
on divine alchemy and flow.

"Love is something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away.
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more"

Welcome it as a sweet bouquet
from a dear friend, a memory
of the music mobile* ranging
the streets of Albany, New York.

Add it to candy Easter baskets and
Passover Seder memories,
and let morning's holy meditation
expand into gifts, emptying

Emptying hands, letting them pass on all
that enters them, that enters the heart
and this, this is the river wild, love's dance,
magic pennies and divine love.

*The Magic Penny is a song by Malvina Reynolds.

How so true! It is a belief that works!

Well done. We cannot be reminded too often.
