Just Saying

hot-flash
flash-back
telling the
distance
when I
cannot
tell the
difference

Inspired by Brian Miller's poem

  1. Hot flashes do measure time, at a time when we do not really want time to be measured so cruelly.

  2. smiles...ha...hopefully the hot flash is endurable...i should not laugh, sorry...i know them only through my mom and the ladies around me....but the flash back from the music...i get those..a bit more enjoyable...the interplay of difference and distance is interesting as well....

  8. Those hot flashes of memory and longing do not get less, which is both good and bad. It reminds you have lived your life.

  12. Hmmm . . . I was 14 and lived 3000 miles away. But we all put flowers in our hair (even the guys,) held hands, and danced in the park to the music on the radio. The distance is not so far as I still feel that spirit . . .
