  1. I like the progression of this poem, Susan. (And, oh how I loved Black Beauty & My Friend Flicka.) The third stanza is a reminder, however, that all does not have a happy ending!

  10. Ah childhood books fashioning an imagination. The wounds of childhood vary for the individual. Lucky are those who escape fairly unscathed.Childhood is so important in the memory scape.

Cutting Forests and avoiding the spindles, growing smaller and taller, now we have the Powerful Princesses Frozen and Fighting' and Lo the Magicians are flying all over...but on Brooms -where are the Carpets? Its a whole new World' Indeed the poem rolls back in Time' 'All Toads are not Princes'
