Wild mind co-creates whilechallenging the logic ofwell-arranged existence.
Wild mind channels youthfulspirits everywhere, insistswe embrace and save trees.
Wild mind colors outside the lines,
uproots well-kept lawns, rues“the dying of the light.”
Wilderness claims wild minds.Linger, linger, urges her heart.Make it last. Make it last.

Ah, this poem sinks into my heart, every word another drop of truth. So beautiful, Susan. Make it last, indeed!
ReplyDeleteI like especially that third stanza. Much to uproot, many lines to cross.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous bloom of wild mind. The ecosystem of wild mind is diverse, infused with galloping abandon, disrupts the permagreen lawns and lingers long past sunset. Amen and amen.
ReplyDeleteNice work! I love "wild mind colors outside the lines". Yes, uproot those heavily chemicofied lawns and save some trees. And just to say, I LOVE Wendall Berry. Thanks for highlighting him and for writing his poem.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, make it last!
ReplyDeleteYes, I liked that line too—wild mind colours outside the lines.
ReplyDeleteAmen to this!
ReplyDeleteAmen indeed! A beautiful glimpse into wild mind. Wonderful.
