A Happy Reflection

source

An unexpected gift or hug
alleviates the stress
like a flower along a walk
that provides happiness.

The focus of a bee
on the pollen of one red rose
gives me pause in my walk
no matter how far I must go.

The unexpected moments
of multiple harmonies
makes the walk still sweeter
than simple melodies.

  1. How lovely. The cherry trees out front are just bursting into bloom. Always a joy, every springtime.

  2. What beautiful thoughts you have expressed in your poem. I do a lot of walking, and next walk I take I will be concentrating on the 'multiple harmonies' you mentioned. And contemplating a bee's focus on ONE red rose at a time is a lesson too....

  7. That single bee on one red rose is such a striking image...and definitely more interesting than the music that is ususally plugged into my ears when I walk!

  11. Multiple harmonies ... a well-worded reminder that despite chaos there is synchronicity that keeps us going. :)

  14. I love those unexpected moments. I hope I'm never too old or ever to bitter to not find awe in the beauty around me.
